Why people come to us

What Stops People Getting a Tattoo Removed

These are the four things almost every person says in their first five minutes at the consultation. All four have straight answers.

The bill that never stops

Per-session pricing keeps climbing with no clear end point. You start with a quote for six and find yourself paying for twelve.

Fear of pain and scarring

Older thermal lasers earned that reputation. Photoacoustic shockwaves and integrated cryo-cooling are a genuinely different experience.

"Blue and green can't be removed"

What that usually means is the clinic runs a single-wavelength laser. PicoWay's 532nm and 1064nm pair treats the colours others stall on.

Turned away for your skin tone

Melanin-rich skin needs the 1064nm wavelength, conservative energy and longer intervals. That is a protocol, not a refusal.

We deal with all of it the same way: look at the tattoo properly, tell you what is genuinely achievable, and quote one price you can plan around.

Eliminate Unwanted Ink With Fast, Effective PicoWay Technology

We offer one simple price for all your PicoWay tattoo removal sessions, no matter how many it takes until every removable trace of ink is cleared. Most tattoos need somewhere between five and ten sessions, but because your price is fixed, that number only affects your timeline. It never affects what you pay.

The laser fires picosecond pulses that shatter pigment into fragments small enough for your lymphatic system to carry away over the following weeks. Because the energy is a photoacoustic shockwave rather than heat, the surrounding skin takes far less damage than it would from an older thermal laser. That is the whole reason it hurts less and heals faster.

  • Photoacoustic shockwaves, not heat
  • Fewer, shorter sessions than nanosecond lasers
  • Effective on stubborn blue and green inks
  • Precision-focused, minimal risk to surrounding skin
  • Integrated cryo-cooling on every session
  • Trusted worldwide for millions of removals

What the fixed price covers

Sessions
Unlimited, until all removable ink is cleared. Ten sessions or twenty, the price is the same one you agreed.
Consultation & patch test
Free, and nothing is booked or paid for on the day. You leave with a realistic estimate and a fixed quote.
Cryo-cooling
Included in every session, not an optional extra. It makes a real difference to how the session feels.
Payment
Pay up front or spread it across an 11-month 0% APR plan. Bundles of three and six sessions are available for fading work.

Pricing is tattoo-specific. Size, density, depth and colour all matter, which is why we quote after we have seen it rather than before.

What sets us apart

Why Choose Cloak & Dagger for Tattoo Removal in London?

As one of London's highest rated and most reviewed tattoo shops, we know our stuff on ink, skin types and aftercare, whether we are creating tattoos or removing them.

One fixed price, unlimited sessions

Your price is agreed at the free consultation and then it does not change. We keep treating until all removable ink is cleared. If your tattoo needs twelve sessions instead of six, that is our problem, not your invoice. The risk sits with us, which is exactly where it should sit.

PicoWay picosecond technology

PicoWay fires pulses measured in trillionths of a second, creating a photoacoustic shockwave rather than heat. Ink fragments more finely, the surrounding skin takes less damage, and clearance typically arrives in up to 50% fewer sessions than a nanosecond laser needs.

Blue and green ink treated properly

Dual 532nm and 1064nm wavelengths mean we can absorb across the colour range instead of one narrow band. That is why we take on multi-colour pieces that single-wavelength Q-switched clinics turn away, and why greens and blues actually move.

Safe across all skin types

The 1064nm wavelength passes more safely through melanin-rich skin than shorter wavelengths, which makes PicoWay suitable across the whole Fitzpatrick scale. We pair it with conservative energy settings, longer intervals and a patch test before anything else.

Removal specialists, not a med-spa

Our technicians work on tattoo removal and nothing else. No injectables, no facials, no upsell to a treatment you did not come in for. That focus is why the advice you get about what is realistically achievable is worth listening to.

A tattoo studio since 2013

Cloak & Dagger has been tattooing in Shoreditch since 2013, and the laser suite opened in May 2022. Removal and artistry under one roof means we understand ink from both directions: how it goes in and how it comes out.

How it works

Remove Your Tattoo in Four Simple Steps

No mystery and no pressure. Here is exactly what happens from your first message to your last session.

  1. 01

    Consultation

Free, around thirty minutes, and nothing is committed on the day. We assess the location, depth, density and colour of your tattoo, review your skin type, and give you an honest session estimate and your fixed price.

  2. 02

    Patch test

We treat a small area so we can see how your skin and your specific ink actually respond. That confirms the right energy settings for you and rules out any unexpected reaction before a full session.

  3. 03

    Treatment

Short sessions on the PicoWay system in a clean, friendly studio, with cryo-cooling running throughout. Each area takes seconds to a couple of minutes. Sessions sit six to eight weeks apart.

  4. 04

    Aftercare

You leave with clear instructions and we are on WhatsApp between sessions. Your lymphatic system does the clearing work in the weeks that follow, so that gap is doing real work rather than wasting your time.

Sessions sit six to eight weeks apart because your body needs that long to clear the fragmented ink. Treating sooner does not speed anything up.

What Our Tattoo Removal Clients Say

5.0 out of 5 from 22 Google reviews

I have had a very positive experience with Cloak and Dagger for tattoo removal. The staff is amazing, very professional, knowledgeable, and make me feel comfortable throughout the entire process, especially Kate. They provided me with the right information regarding the treatment, how to take care of it, how many sessions were needed. The area where this takes place is very clean and tidy and they are using the latest technology with very cool glasses that make the experience more pleasant, pain is not that bad, they apply cold air plus give you tips to minimise the discomfort. I strongly recommend this place and I think it is the best on this matter with amazing prices.

Estrellita Maria Neira Google review

I had a massive black tribal tattoo on my shoulder and honestly never believed I could fully get rid of it. At first, I only hoped to lighten it enough for a cover-up. I spent ages searching for the right laser clinic, and I'm so glad I found Cloak & Dagger Laser. Now my skin is completely clear — people genuinely can't tell I ever had a tattoo. The communication throughout the process was excellent, and everything was explained clearly from the start. The pricing was also very competitive compared to other clinics. The results far exceeded my expectations. Without a doubt, the best laser clinic in London.

Jan Vondrášek Google review

I have been a client of Kelly's for nearly 2 years now, she is so knowledgable and truthful about the whole laser process. We are working on a very dark, full sleeve removal and I would not want anyone else to treat me ever again. I was with a previous removal company and I was disappointed with the results. But the results with Kelly have given me complete confidence that we can remove this tattoo once and for all. She is so kind and empathetic, we have a great time in every session no matter how ouchy it is.

Got questions?

Tattoo Removal Questions, Answered

How much does laser tattoo removal cost in London?

Your price is fixed at your free consultation based on the size, density, depth and colour of your tattoo, and then it does not change. Complete removal is sold as one price covering unlimited sessions until all removable ink is cleared, so you never pay per session or pay more because your tattoo needed more visits than expected. Smaller pieces cost considerably less than full sleeves. 11-month 0% APR finance is available to spread the cost.

How many sessions will I need?

Most tattoos need somewhere between 5 and 10 sessions, but it depends on ink density, depth, colour, age, body location and how quickly your immune system clears the fragments. PicoWay typically clears ink in up to 50% fewer sessions than older nanosecond lasers. Because your price is fixed, session count affects how long your treatment takes, not what you pay.

Does laser tattoo removal hurt?

Most people describe it as being flicked hard with an elastic band, and each area is over in seconds to a couple of minutes. PicoWay uses photoacoustic shockwaves rather than heat, which hurts noticeably less than older thermal lasers, and we run integrated cryo-cooling throughout every session. Bony areas like ribs, ankles and wrists are more sensitive than fleshier ones.

Will laser tattoo removal leave a scar?

Properly performed laser removal does not scar. Where scarring exists after treatment it usually predates the removal, either from the original tattooing itself or from picking at blisters during healing. PicoWay's non-thermal photoacoustic energy limits damage to the surrounding skin, and following the aftercare instructions is the single biggest thing you control.

Can you remove blue and green ink?

Yes. Blue and green are the historically stubborn colours because they need a shorter wavelength to be absorbed properly. PicoWay's dual 532nm and 1064nm wavelengths treat them, which is why we can take on work that clinics running single-wavelength Q-switched lasers turn away. Some colours in a multi-colour piece will still clear faster than others.

Is laser tattoo removal safe on darker skin?

Yes, with the correct wavelength and settings. The 1064nm wavelength passes more safely through melanin-rich skin than shorter wavelengths, which is what makes PicoWay suitable across all Fitzpatrick skin types. We use conservative energy settings, longer intervals between sessions, and always run a patch test first.

What is the difference between fading and full removal?

Fading lightens a tattoo enough for an artist to cover it with new work, which takes far fewer sessions than clearing every trace. Full removal keeps going until all removable ink is gone. Fading runs on 3- or 6-session bundles; complete removal runs on the fixed unlimited-session price.

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. The consultation and safety patch test cost nothing and commit you to nothing. We assess your tattoo's location, depth, density and colour, review your skin type, give you a realistic outcome and session estimate, and quote your fixed price. No treatment or payment happens on the day.

Why do I need a patch test?

The patch test treats a small area of your tattoo so we can see how your skin and your specific ink respond before committing to a full session. It tells us the right energy settings for you and confirms there is no unexpected reaction. It is done at your free consultation.
