1. Who we are

Cloak & Dagger Tattoo Removal ("we", "us", "our") operates the laser tattoo removal service at 34 Cheshire Street, London, E2 6EH, United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact us or attend the studio, how we use it, and the rights you have over it under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Information we collect

  • Name, email address and phone number, when you submit an enquiry form, message us on WhatsApp, email us or call the studio
  • Details about the tattoo you want treated, including any photographs you choose to send us
  • Health and skin information relevant to laser treatment, collected at consultation (for example skin type, medications and previous reactions)
  • Treatment records, including patch test results, session dates, settings used and progress photographs
  • Payment and finance application details, processed by our payment and finance providers rather than stored by us
  • Website usage data collected through cookies and analytics tools

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide an estimate
  • To assess whether laser treatment is safe and suitable for you
  • To plan, deliver and record your treatment course safely
  • To arrange appointments and send appointment reminders
  • To process payments and finance applications
  • To meet our legal, insurance and clinical record-keeping obligations
  • To send marketing communications, only where you have asked us to

4. Legal basis for processing

We process contact and enquiry data on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to you. Treatment and health information is processed on the basis of explicit consent given at consultation and for the provision of the treatment you request. Payment and record-keeping data is processed to fulfil a contract and to meet our legal obligations.

5. Photographs

We document progress photographs as a standard part of treatment so you and your technician can track how the ink is clearing. These are treatment records. We will never publish, share on social media or use a photograph of you for marketing without asking you separately and getting your explicit written consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

6. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate, such as our booking, lead-capture and email providers
  • Our payment processor and finance provider, where you apply for a payment plan
  • Your own tattoo artist, where you have asked us to coordinate a cover-up plan with them
  • Insurers, professional advisers, or authorities where we are required to by law

7. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to treatment are kept for up to 24 months. Treatment and clinical records are kept for the period required by our insurers and applicable UK guidance, which is normally a minimum of eight years from your last treatment. Marketing consent records are kept for as long as your consent stands.

8. Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. Access to treatment records is limited to the technicians involved in your care and studio management.

9. Your rights

  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate information corrected
  • Request erasure, subject to records we are legally required to keep
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Request your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, including consent to marketing or to use of photographs

10. Cookies

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version takes effect as soon as it is published here, and the "last updated" date above will change.
